Gebhart Holdings acquires the Imperial Aluminum asset in Scottsboro, AL
Written by Gabriella Vagnini
The holding company behind Metal Source, Gebhart Holdings, has purchased the Imperial Aluminum asset in Scottsboro, AL as a strategic move to expand its capabilities in metals production in the south.
Gebhart Holding will be able to offer a greater synergistic effect between companies, while granting customers access to an even wider selection of metal products and services. Prior to the declaration, Imperial Aluminum is known worldwide, especially for its high-quality primary aluminum goods, which met some of the toughest environmental, health, and safety standards. This company also achieved high rankings in its recycling activities.
We have reached out to CEO Colin P. Denihan for a comment and are awaiting a response.
As Dennis Cole, CCO of Gebhart Holdings wrote on LinkedIn, “Metal Source has acquired the assets of Imperial Aluminum, located in Scottsboro, Alabama. The campus covers over 40 acres and has approximately 80 full-time employees. With impressive recycling capabilities of over 100 million pounds per year…”. As Dennis goes on to say, this facility will be Metal Source’s first out-of-state acquisition.
Other acquisitions that this follow was the 2023 purchase Bedford Recycling in Bedford, IN and Mitchell, IN. And in 2022, they also purchased Huntington Aluminum which is located in Huntington, IN.
